Gerhardt Konig (born circa 1979) is an American anesthesiologist, formerly at UPMC in Pittsburgh, who became infamous after being charged with second-degree attempted murder for allegedly attacking his wife, Arielle Konig, during a hike at Pali Lookout in Oahu, Hawaii, on March 24, 2025.
Konig, who practiced medicine in Maui, has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include claims of pushing his wife toward a cliff, striking her with a rock, and injecting her with needles; the case remains ongoing amid unsealed court documents revealing prior allegations of abuse.
