snooker
Definition
A cue sport played on a cloth-covered table with 22 balls (15 red, 6 colored, and 1 white cue ball), where players score points by potting balls into six pockets using a cue stick.
British slang for deceiving or tricking someone, or leaving them in a difficult position, originating from the game where a player is 'snookered' by ball positioning.
