Eliot Engel

Eliot Lance Engel (1947–2026) was an American politician who served as a Democratic U.S. Representative for New York's 16th congressional district from 1989 until 2021.
He was the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee from 2019 to 2021 and was known for his strong advocacy on international relations, particularly support for Israel.
