wicket
Definition
A small door or gate, especially one forming part of a larger one.
In cricket, each of the two sets of three wooden stumps at which the bowler aims the ball, protected by two bails.
In croquet, a hoop or wire arch through which the ball must be hit.
A croquet gate or turnstile; also, informally, a slot or window for tickets or small transactions.
