USS Mason (DDG-87) is an Arleigh Burke-class Flight IIA Aegis guided missile destroyer serving in the United States Navy.
The ship is named after Ensign Jesse L. Brown, the first Black naval aviator, and Lieutenant (junior grade) Thomas Mason, the first Black aviator to complete a full carrier qualification.
Commissioned on April 19, 2003, and homeported at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, it has participated in various deployments including operations in the Middle East.
