A secure, high-tech communications and crisis management center, specifically the one located in the basement of the White House West Wing, used by the U.S. President and senior officials for national security operations.
A metaphor for any high-pressure environment or 'war room' where a team strategizes intensely to solve an immediate, catastrophic, or complex problem.
