Pavel Talankin (Russian: Павел Ильич Таланкин) is a Russian documentary filmmaker and former school teacher born on March 11, 1991, in Karabash, Chelyabinsk Oblast.
He is best known for co-directing, cinematographing, and narrating the anti-war opposition documentary 'Mr. Nobody Against Putin' (2025), which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2026, along with awards at Sundance and BAFTA.
In June 2024, he emigrated to Prague, Czech Republic, and was designated a 'foreign agent' by the Russian Ministry of Justice on March 27, 2026.
