Ozarks
Definition
The Ozarks (also known as the Ozark Mountains or Ozark Plateau) is a highland physiographic region spanning parts of southern Missouri, northern Arkansas, northeastern Oklahoma, and southeastern Kansas in the central United States, characterized by rugged hills, plateaus, and karst features.
Informally, a reference to the culture, people, or dialect of this region, often associated with Appalachian-like folklore, music, and outdoor recreation.
