Oakland Athletics

The Oakland Athletics, commonly known as the A's, is a Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise in the American League West division. Originally based in Oakland, California from 1968 to 2024, the team has won nine World Series championships overall (four during their Oakland era: 1972–1974, 1989). As of 2026, they are temporarily playing home games at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, California, following their departure from the Oakland Coliseum, with a planned permanent relocation to a new stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2028.
