A Portuguese diminutive form of the name 'Marcos', translating to 'little Marcos' or 'young Marcus', derived from Latin 'Marcus' meaning 'warlike' or 'dedicated to Mars', the Roman god of war.
Commonly known as the nickname of Brazilian professional footballer Marcos Aoás Corrêa (born 1994), a centre-back and captain for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Ligue 1 and the Brazil national team.
