He previously played for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2023 to 2024, recording 641 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns over two seasons.
In 2025 with Michigan, Haynes rushed for 857 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games, earning Third-team All-Big Ten honors, before entering the NCAA transfer portal.
