Jimbo Covert, born James Paul Covert (March 22, 1960), is a former American professional football offensive tackle who played nine seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Chicago Bears.
Nicknamed 'Jimbo,' he was a two-time Pro Bowl selection (1985-1986), two-time First-Team All-Pro, and a key member of the Pittsburgh Panthers' offensive line during college, earning induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003.
Renowned for his athleticism and dominance, Covert protected Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino at Pitt and anchored the Bears' Super Bowl XX-winning offensive line.
