James Ransone

James Finley Ransone III (June 2, 1979 – December 19, 2025) was an American actor best known for his breakout role as the chaotic and hapless Ziggy Sobotka in the second season of HBO's The Wire.
He gained further recognition in horror films, portraying Deputy So-and-So in Sinister (2012) and Sinister 2 (2015), and adult Eddie Kaspbrak in It Chapter Two (2019).
Other notable roles include Corporal Josh Ray Person in the miniseries Generation Kill (2008), and appearances in Treme, Bosch, and The Black Phone (2021).
