Jack Hughes (born May 14, 2001) is an American professional ice hockey center and captain of the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL). Widely regarded as one of the league's top young talents, he was selected first overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
The younger brother of NHL players Quinn and Luke Hughes, Jack has earned multiple accolades, including the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's Rookie of the Year in 2021.
