Hantavirus
Definition
A genus of viruses in the family Hantaviridae, primarily carried by rodents, that can cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) or hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) in humans through inhalation of contaminated dust.
Any member of the Hantavirus genus, known for their zoonotic transmission and potentially fatal respiratory or renal effects.
