Definition
A weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service when there is a potential for significant, widespread freezing temperatures (32°F/0°C or below) within the next 24-36 hours, alerting residents to protect sensitive plants and pipes.
An early warning notice, typically valid for up to 48 hours, preceding a possible freeze warning.
