Evgeni Vladimirovich Malkin (Russian: Евге́ний Влади́мирович Ма́лкин, born 31 July 1986) is a Russian professional ice hockey centre and alternate captain for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Drafted second overall by the Penguins in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, he is a three-time Stanley Cup champion (2009, 2016, 2017) and has won major awards including the Hart Memorial Trophy (2012 MVP), Art Ross Trophy (twice), and Conn Smythe Trophy (2009).
Nicknamed 'Geno', Malkin is celebrated for his elite playmaking, scoring prowess, and enduring competitiveness, remaining active in the NHL at age 39 as of the 2024–25 season.
