Diana Police
Definition
A colloquial term used within the Capcom development team for Pragmata to refer to a group of female developers tasked with monitoring the character design of the android 'Diana'.
A specialized group responsible for ensuring a character avoids tropes of contrivance or intentional 'cutesiness,' aiming instead for a natural, childlike innocence that resonates without becoming grating to the player.
Examples
If only modern social media had its own Diana Police to prevent users from trying too hard to be quirky, our feeds might actually be readable.
The developers were so terrified of the Diana Police that they spent three months tweaking the pixel-perfect width of an android's smile.
Perhaps the board of directors should appoint a Diana Police to monitor the executive team and ensure their public charm offensive feels at least halfway authentic.
