Definition
A republic in southwestern Africa on the Atlantic coast, bordered by Namibia to the south, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Zambia inland to the east, and the Republic of the Congo to the north across the Congo River; capital: Luanda; population approximately 37 million (2023 est.). Known for its oil reserves, diamonds, and diverse wildlife.
