Afrika Bambaataa (born Lance Taylor) is an influential American hip-hop DJ, rapper, record producer, and activist from the South Bronx, widely regarded as one of the originators of breakbeat DJing and electro-hip-hop.
As the founder of the Universal Zulu Nation collective, he promoted peace, unity, and having fun through hip-hop culture, blending funk, electro, and Kraftwerk samples into groundbreaking tracks like 'Planet Rock.'
