Hani Shaker (هاني شاكر) was a renowned Egyptian singer, composer, stage actor, and former president of the Musicians' Syndicate, affectionately nicknamed the 'Prince of Arabic Singing' (أمير الغناء العربي).
Born on December 21, 1952, in Cairo, Egypt, he released over 29 albums, more than 600 songs, and starred in films and plays before passing away on May 3, 2026, in Paris at age 73.
Known for hits like 'Keda Brado Ya Qamar,' 'Jerhi Ana,' and 'Lesa Btesaly,' he also made headlines as syndicate head by banning unqualified folk performers to safeguard artistic standards and national security.
